Spring registration is up!!

Submitted: Jan 29th, 2007

Tis' true- despite Old Man Winter's ruthless temper as of late, the spring kickball season (and MUSA's lucky 21 is you count winter leagues) is just around the corner. If you havent been assembling your motley crew, now is the time to start getting them rustled from their winter abodes, to polish their livers and their kickball skills. Leagues are once again offered Monday through Friday, with a new west location in the New Berlin VFW post on Fridays, just off of Beloit and Calhoun. This location offers the kickballer/lush another opportunity to steady those DTs that might otherwise be an excuse for rubberchesting an easy pop up. If you are interested in the Friday New Berlin league, in additional email to joe@musakickball.com is requested so I can finalize our paperwork with the new location.

Otherwise, its business as usual with returning teams getting preference on location up. We did lose use of Pumping Station on the east side and Friday Pulaski is limited due to time restrictions on the field, so y'all might want to have a plan B or we may have to rotate with something south or west a few games. The central fields (i.e. Wick, Enderis, etc) may also have a rotation as well with fields used generally about 5 minutes from one another. With all that, check out the reg info for details. You can also pencil in March 24th for the pre season tourney with an automatic Lunchbox bid at stake.

MUSA's Dead Presidents Dodgeball tourney registration is also up for February 11th, to be played at the County Sports Complex on 60th and Ryan. If you have been on the couch all winter, a day of dodgeball is a great way to get you off that couch and then keep you tethered to it the next few days as muscles you didnt know you had recuperate. Good stuff!!

In other news, Team Turbo Donkey (running/biking/multisport) is looking for folks who might be interested in a team or teams for the Great Midwest Relay. No, we are not looking to win it, but 190 miles over a weekend is a great challenge and sure to be good times. Look for more info on Turbo Donkey Racing and Multisport soon as this lazy bum can get the details on the website. Look for info on weekly training rides and runs, who's racing where and more for all levels of fitness and varying fitness goals.

Thats all for now kiddies. Bundle up and keep up hope cuz spring is just around the corner. Ta!
